Bouldering is a form of climbing which takes place on indoor walls that typically measure less than 15 feet (4.5 m) from ground to top. It is a mix of gymnastics, parkour and problem solving that tests both your physical body and mind. Unlike top rope climbing and lead climbing, no ropes are used to protect or aid the climber. Instead safety matting is laid underneath all climbing areas which help decrease the chance of injury from any fall of height.
