KIDS & FAMILIES

Climbing is a life long sport and for many people it begins when they are a kid. If your kid climbs anything and everything and you want them to try indoor bouldering at Stronghold – have a read of the most frequent questions we get asked below

We love kids to climb at Stronghold and they are welcome to climb with Experienced Adult Climbers. We do though have a strict supervisory policy so we strongly recommend you read it prior to your visit.

If you are an Experienced Adult Climber you can also pre-register as a supervisor for any kids you wish to bring along. Just click on the U18 Supervisors form and fill in a form for each child you wish to supervise.

Then we have just the course for you. The Family Induction will teach you all you and the kids need to know to safely climb at Stronghold.

You can book one by going to our Family induction page here >>

Please note the supervisory polices also apply on Family Induction so do read the Supervision Policy prior to booking.

We have kid sessions back up and running at our Tottenham Hale site. These are for children from 6 Years old to 14 years old and include NIBAS (a national scheme for kids to progress as they grow) term-time sessions. We also run extra Holiday Kids Clubs for when school is out. Just select a page from the drop down menu at the top of this page.

If your kids are new to Stronghold, then please note that a parent or legal guardian will need to complete a Stronghold Instructed Consent Form for every child attending a instructed session.

At the Stronghold Climbing Centre we do allow children aged 14 – 17 years old to climb unsupervised. In order to be able to climb unsupervised the child will have to demonstrate to a Stronghold staff member that they have the experience and maturity to climb responsibly within the climbing wall.
