COVID SAFE CLIMBING

Stronghold’s Covid-19 safe operating policy adheres to the latest guidance from the government, UKActive and the Association of British Climbing Walls (ABC), concerning hygiene and safety procedures.

If you feel unwell at all, please do not visit the centre.

As of 19th July 2021, in line with government guidance we will be removing the need to pre-book a session at either of our Stronghold Climbing Centres. From this day you can just turn up at a time that suits you. If we reach capacity we will have to ask you to wait a short while till space comes free but we don’t believe this will occur often. You will be able to check the capacity of the centres on our website as well as the RGPro App before you arrive to check capacity and make your own decision whether to visit us. We will continue to ask customers to check in/check out to help us monitor capacity.

Until the 19th July you should continue to pre-book your session on our website.

We kindly recommend that you wear a mask in the reception area and changing rooms.

Masks will be optional in the climbing area.

We have reduced our capacity below Govt guidance to keep the centre and our customers as spaced out as possible. You will be able to check capacities at both Stronghold centres on our website from 19th July. Capacities will also be shown on the RGPro App.

We will have Perspex screens at the front desks for staff and customer protection. We have an hourly cleaning schedule in place. Regular floor walks will be taking place to ensure the climbing centre is kept safe as well as clean.

Hand sanitiser will be available at entrance and exit and around the centre. We ask that all customers use it when entering the centre.

All facilities are open but we recommend that people arrive ‘ready to climb’ as much as possible. We recommend that customers wear a mask in the changing rooms. There will be a one way system through the changing rooms so we ask that you follow this when using the facilities. The showers will be open and lockers will be available but please remember to bring your own padlock.

We will continue with our increased ventilation efforts throughout the centre by keeping as many windows and exits open as possible.

Hire shoes are still available. We sanitise hire shoes between each use. Chalk is also available to rent and purchase.

The Gym will be open. We will also provide blue roll and cleaning materials to wipe down any equipment you use.

We have bottle refills at two locations within the centre. These are motion sensors so there is no need to touch them.

The Cafe at both Stronghold centres are open and offer both sit in and takeaway service.
