NIBAS – KIDS CLIMBING SESSIONS

Climbing is a life long sport and for many people it begins when they are a kid. If your kid climbs anything and everything and you want them to get instructed by a climbing coach then NIBAS at Stronghold is for them.

The National Indoor Bouldering Award Scheme (NIBAS) is a UK-wide scheme designed to promote climbing development and accredit individual achievement on indoor climbing walls. We are proud to be offering this fantastic scheme at Stronghold: Tottenham Hale. As part of our offering, we will be running NIBAS sessions for kids 7-10yrs and for 11yrs+.

Running on school term times, you will book your kids onto a term time worth of weeks. No need to book individual weeks or worry about if a space is available the next week. Book once and just drop your kid off at the same time each week.

NIBAS has been created by some of the most experienced coaches in the UK. In the Foundation series your child will be getting taught the fundamental & key techniques that all advanced climbing moves are based on.

At all times our coaches are there to help them develop their agility, balance, co-ordination and belief in themselves through fun climbing sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions – NIBAS at Stronghold

Your child won’t miss out on anything that is on the NIBAS syllabus as our coaches are trained to work at the level and speed of the child. This is one of the advantages of NIBAS in that your child will learn at their pace and get to climb with other keen kids!

Our NIBAS sessions are term time, one off, payments so we cannot refund or credit any sessions missed by children. Please make sure to double check that the times and dates suit you and your childs schedule

If you have previously paid for 10 punches for Rockers and have some left, you can indeed use these for part payment towards the session. Just book your child onto the relevant session using the ‘Existing Pre-Paid Kids 10 Pass Holder’ option and then email bookings@thestrongholduk.com with your childs name and day of NIBAS session. We will then see how many punches you have left and inform you if you need to pay extra for the term. You can then pay this on the first day of the new term.

All children will have to complete a NIBAS Foundation term at Stronghold before moving onto the Intermediate sessions that we will begin during the November term.

Even if your child is an experienced climber they will learn and improve with our NIBAS coaches. More than that, they will have fun!

Our sessions are limited to 8 kids per coach to maintain our high levels of coaching. Once a session is full we cannot add any more to that . If a space is available we’d be more than happy to move a child over to that session. Just email bookings@thestrongholduk.com if you the space exists on the calendar above.

They can indeed. Just book the sessions you want. You will be paying for the full term time for both sessions.

Unfortunately we cannot split one term time payment over 2 different days.
