Our boulder problems cater for everyone from beginners to elite athletes, created for you by our dedicated in-house team of professional setters. Led by our brilliant Head Setter Stoyan, the team also features Mick, Joe and Jen – read on below for a little more about each one.
We also bring in a hand-picked team of quality guest setters, who fit the style and ethos of Stronghold. These include legends like Emma, who recently became the first British woman to climb 9a, and Prajak, a creative genius with a flair for fantastic boulder problems.
With every circuit getting re-set at least every 4-6 weeks, there’s always enough time to work your project before a fresh new set of problems get put up. You can use the calendar below to see what’s getting reset soon, and keep an eye on our social feeds for more information and some beta!

Professional guest-setters also visit the centre regularly and are a key part of us being able to offer:
Hundreds of boulder problems.
Two reset circuits every week (except during holidays).
A selection of graded routes on London’s largest circuit board.
Guest setters include the likes of Emma Twyford, Britain’s first woman to climb 9a (The Big Bang in North Wales in summer 2019), Steve McClure (Britain’s strongest sport climber, with multiple extremely hard ascents up to 9b), and many others.

Stronghold’s very own in-house setters bring the outdoor experience to Tottenham. We pride ourselves on blocs, board problems and circuits that will test you in a variety of ways whilst still retaining the essence of great climbing.
Our core team consists of: Stoyan, Jay & Joe. They all bring their own experience, style and creativity to the job.
